5-star all-inclusive beachfront resort in Punta Cana
Resort Grounds and Location
Tropical Deluxe Princess is set 3 minutes' walk from Arena Blanca Beach, offering direct access to the Caribbean shore. The resort spans lush grounds with mangroves home to turtles, iguanas, flamingos, and ducks, creating a natural wildlife corridor between the lobby and guest rooms. Internal shuttles run every 15-20 minutes to transport guests across the property, and a free shuttle connects to Avalon Casino.
Pools and Beach
Three outdoor swimming pools include a main pool with a swim-up bar, a second pool near the Beach House restaurant, and a children's water park with water slides. The beach offers soft white sand and is cleaned daily, though seaweed can accumulate depending on weather. Pool towels are available from a central hut, and sun loungers and umbrellas are provided at all pools and on the beach.
Dining Options
Seven on-site restaurants serve Italian, Asian, Tex Mex, Dominican, and Brazilian cuisines, plus a main buffet and a Beach House snack bar. Nine bars include a lobby bar, pool bars, a creperie, a coffee shop, and a 24-hour sports bar with snacks and drinks. Dinner reservations are required for the à la carte restaurants and can be made up to three days in advance via the resort's app or guest services.
Family and Children Activities
A Mini Club for children aged 4-12 offers supervised leisure programs, and a dedicated teens club provides activities for older kids. A children's water park, playground, and evening entertainment including circus shows and themed parties keep younger guests occupied. Babysitting services are available upon request through the kids club.
Wellness and Recreation
The on-site spa offers therapeutic massages, beauty treatments, body wraps, and access to a sauna, steam room, and hot tub/Jacuzzi. Guests can use the fitness center, tennis court, and non-motorized water sports such as canoeing and snorkeling. Additional activities include archery, mini golf, billiards, table tennis, and a bowling alley ($10 per person).

“Tropical Deluxe Princess has a strong appeal for families, especially given the dedicated kids' club and engaging entertainment team. While some aspects require attention, such as room maintenance, I see that the Platinum Club upgrade could be a worthwhile investment for a more seamless experience. The variety of dining options also stands out, though booking a la carte restaurants early is essential.”
